Our AGM will be held during the March 2017 main meeting.
Our Constitution states that committee members serve for 3 years, after which they must stand for re-election. Officers (Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer) must seek re-election every year and the Chairman and Vice Chairman must stand down after 3 years.
Our Treasurer Keith Davis is standing down at the AGM. The is a vital role that must be filled to ensure that the Blackwater U3A can continue to operate.
We also have vacancies on the committee so, if any member feels they can help guide the Blackwater through the next few years, please speak to any committee member. Without volunteers to undertake planning and regular committee work, our U3A will grind to a halt.
There is a formal notice of the AGM in the February newsletter. During this meeting, we will be having one of our ‘Our U3A’ events where the Interest Groups put on displays giving information about their activity. Members of each group will be on hand to answer questions.
